There I was, in front of a crowd of people.
My first thought was, "I can't believe I'm doing this."
As I approached the microphone, my mind went blank.
Then I remembered what propelled me to walk up to the microphone in the first place.
Somehow, this gave me motivation to keep going.
Now, facing a room full of people, I managed to speak, share, and express my thoughts without hesitation.
All of my senses were engaged with an inner strength that surprised me.
I had confidence.
I wasn't criticizing myself.
In fact, I was enjoying the moment.
How did this happen so naturally?
During my daily Bible reading that week, I had come across a verse that profoundly affected me.
Have you ever read something that jumped off of the page at you?
This happened to me.
In an instant, my life was transformed.
A divine moment happened between me and my Bible.
Something was released into my spirit.
I felt certain that the Holy Spirit guided me to read this specific passage for my benefit.
The benefit I received turned into the secret behind my success.
Like you, I experience anxiety when speaking in front of people.
Whether, at a party, a work meeting, or at church.
My mind goes blank and my mouth gets dry.
Somehow the Bible verse I read, jumped out at me and breathed something into my spirit.
Something that was supernatural.
And when I thought upon this verse I was able to overcome my fear.
It became a source of life and power.
Whenever there was an opportunity to speak, share, or offer suggestions at meetings I drew upon this Bible verse.
I was amazed at the inner strength it provided me.
Have you ever read something that changed the way you view the world?
An amazing thing happened when the Holy Spirit quickened that Bible verse to me.
I became aware of the significance of my existence upon this earth.
And my insignificance.
It gave me insight into seeing things from the Lord's perspective.
This new concept offered me a wider view of my God-given role and purpose.
The Holy Spirit chose to infuse my heart with renewed life, passion, and confidence through one verse from my Bible.
During this time, every challenge I encountered felt manageable, as I would rise above it by simply recalling this Bible verse.
Have you encountered this?
However, a few weeks later, this hidden power had diminished significantly.
Until this Bible verse no longer had an impact on me.
I was both baffled and disappointed.
Then I remembered inspirational sermons from my past.
We must seek a FRESH WORD from heaven.
I could no longer thrive on the power of that past revelation.
There is a beautiful truth found in God's Word about this.
We need new spiritual nourishment each day.
In reading this Bible verse below, we recognize that Jesus is the Word of God made in human form.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:14 KJV
With that being said, we can deduce from the following verse that the Word of God is also called, The Bread of Life:
In John 6:35, Jesus says, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
We cannot survive physically without food or water, so we choose our meals and beverages wisely.
Similarly, we cannot survive spiritually without Jesus—our Daily Bread.
We must chose our spiritual food wisely as well.
He is the Bread of Life.
If you have questions about spiritual matters or seek answers from heaven, Jesus states, that He alone can satisfy every need.
In order to have a healthy spiritual life, we must be spending time in the Word of God.
This is the daily bread Jesus was speaking of in the Lord's Prayer.
"Give us this day our daily bread."
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
The secret behind my success is reading my Bible on a daily basis, and receiving it as my daily bread.
I make it a priority to wake up early each morning to achieve this purpose.
Then I spend time reflecting on the verses I've read.
Sometimes I experience words that jump off the page at me, and sometimes I don't.
The key I've learned is being faithfully patient.
I've read the entire Bible many times, and receive something new each time through.
As we mature, our perspectives changes and Scripture will take on different hues.
Speaking into the season of life we find ourselves in.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16
Pray for God's favor upon you.
Open your Bible and ask Him to give you heavenly insights.
Then embrace the spiritual blessings that are bestowed upon every believer in Christ.
Father in Heaven,
Help those who turn to you in their times of trouble. Give them insight into your holy word, and breathe new life into their hearts through your holy spirit.
In Your Precious Name, Amen.
Blessings ~
